WHAT IS A PLAYCATION?

We know that many Southern Nevadans are looking for a way to have a safe and healthy vacation experience. A PLAYcation is a way for Las Vegas residents to play for half a day in their hometown without having to stay at a hotel. The Downtown Vegas Alliance in partnership with DTP Companies/Explore DTLV app has crafted a series of 10 itineraries featuring 20+ locations offering discounts and specials for a limited time. Playcation itineraries are a great way to experience fun and safe offerings that are unique to downtown Las Vegas. The campaign includes weekly social media contests and runs through December 15, 2020.

WHAT BUSINESSES ARE PARTICIPATING?

Participating businesses include 13 restaurants and bars, six retail outlets, three museums, three casino resorts and more. For easy transportation while “playcationing,” rideshare service, Lyft, is offering $25 in ride credits for the first 250 playcationers, and the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is offering 50 percent off 24-hour passes to the first 100 playcationers for its RTC Bike Share program, which has multiple stations in the downtown area. DO I HAVE TO FOLLOW THE ITINERARIES EXACTLY?

No, the PLAYcation itineraries are merely suggestions of activities curated around different interests. PLAYcationers may follow their own path around downtown Las Vegas based on their mood and preferences while taking advantage of the discounts that are offered and are encouraged to enter the social media contest.

HOW DO I REDEEM AN OFFER?

When you are ready to enjoy one of the great discounts, simply show your smartphone with the PLAYcation screen pulled up showing the code #DTLVPLAY. If you are renting an RTC Bike Share simply download the BCycle app and use the promo code DTLVPLAY. And if you are taking advantage of the LYFT offer of $25 in ride credit use the promo code DTLVPLAY2020 when ordering your ride.

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE EXPLORE DTLV APP?

The EXPLORE DTLV app is available to download for FREE on your smartphone through Google Play and the App Store. When you download the app, you will be able to take advantage of all of the PLAYcation itineraries and special offers as well as other unique rewards when you register.

HOW CAN I WIN PRIZES?

We are giving away weekly prizes from 9/24 until 12/15 with one grand prize winner! Win anywhere from $20 to $500 in DTLV prizes. Entering is as easy as 1-2-3.
